Freeze drying & vacuum frying terminology

Technical language used when specifying industrial lyophilization and low-temperature frying equipment for food processing lines.

Lyophilization / freeze drying
A preservation process that freezes food before removing ice under vacuum. Industrial freeze dryers coordinate refrigeration, vacuum and controlled shelf heating through each drying stage.
Sublimation
The phase change in which frozen water becomes vapor without first becoming liquid. Sublimation is the central moisture-removal mechanism in the primary drying stage.
Primary drying & secondary drying
Primary drying removes ice by sublimation under controlled vacuum and shelf heat. Secondary drying then desorbs remaining bound moisture to reach the required residual-moisture level.
Low-temperature vacuum frying
Vacuum reduces the boiling point of water, allowing food to fry at approximately 80–100°C instead of conventional atmospheric frying temperatures.
Centrifugal de-oiling
A post-frying step that removes surface oil from vacuum-fried products before cooling and packaging, supporting texture and finished-product consistency.

Frequently asked questions

Freeze dryer & vacuum fryer technical FAQ

Start with lyophilization, sublimation, drying stages and vacuum de-oiling fundamentals, then send us your raw material, target output and destination market for a project-specific discussion.

What equipment does Supreme Beast manufacture?

We manufacture industrial freeze dryers and low-temperature vacuum fryers for commercial food processing. Our ranges cover freeze-dryer tray areas from 20 to 200 m² and vacuum-fryer capacities from 100 to 300 kg per batch.

What is lyophilization and how does sublimation work?

Lyophilization, or freeze drying, freezes a product and then removes ice as vapor by sublimation under vacuum. Because the ice does not pass through a liquid stage, the process can help preserve structure, color and heat-sensitive characteristics.

What are primary drying and secondary drying in a freeze dryer?

Primary drying removes frozen water mainly by sublimation under controlled vacuum and shelf heat. Secondary drying follows by desorbing remaining bound moisture to reach the target residual-moisture level.

How do low-temperature vacuum frying and de-oiling work?

A vacuum fryer lowers the boiling point of water so food can fry at about 80–100°C. After frying, centrifugal de-oiling removes surface oil before cooling and packaging.

Where is the factory located?

Our manufacturing base is in Shanghai, China. The company address is Unit 880, Zone C, No. 365 Gubei East Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai.

Do you export equipment overseas?

Yes. Our equipment has been exported to Southeast Asia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and other markets.

What after-sales support is provided?

We provide installation, commissioning and operator training, along with lifetime technical support and continuous spare parts supply.

Can you help plan a complete processing line?

Yes. We provide one-stop support covering process planning, equipment selection and production line setup.
